Dr. Peter SakovichMedical Staff President of Baylor Irving
Dr. Peter Sakovich
Dr. Peter Sakovich is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Sakovich received his bachelor's degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. He then attended Texas Tech Medical School in Lubbock, Texas. Graduating in 1982, Dr. Sakovich began a family practice residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Forth Worth. He then completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology. From 1987-1994 he was in practice at Northeast Medical Clinic Association in the mid-cities. In 1994, he moved to Irving and founded MacArthur OB/Gyn. After delivering over 5,000 babies Dr. Sakovich states that each delivery is still special and miraculous. Dr. Sakovich sums up his practice saying, "I am proud to have served the women of Irving and the Mid-cities for almost 20 years. I take pride in my commitment to provide quality care in obstetrics, gynecology and surgical problems. Dr. Sakovich is a frequent speaker on natural hormone therapy. Also, he is the Medical Staff President for Baylor Medical Center of Irving.

Dr. Jeff Livingston

Dr. Jeff Livingston joined MacArthur OB/Gyn in 2003. He is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Livingston grew up in Dallas graduating from J.J. Pearce High School. He then attended Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas where he played basketball and majored in Spanish. He then returned to Dallas to attend the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. After completing his residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital, he moved to Irving to work with MacArthur OB/Gyn. He is fluent in Spanish and sign language. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and family. They are members of White's Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake, TX. Dr. Livingston states, "I am committed to providing each patient with thorough and compassionate care." Dr. Livingston works closely with the Irving Independent School District on several committees and in 2009 received the Golden Apple Award in recognition of outstanding contributions to students and teachers. He is a frequent speaker in the community on sexually transmitted disease prevention and teen pregnancy prevention. Dr. Livingston is the Medical Director of a crisis pregnancy center called Real Choices. He also serves as the chairman of the OB/Gyn Department at Baylor Medical Center of Irving.

Dr. Colette Dominique joined MacArthur OB/Gyn in 2004. She is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. She received her bachelor's degree in Biology from Xavier University in New Orleans. She then attended Louisiana State University Medical Center School of Medicine in Shreveport. Although it was hard to leave her beloved home in Louisiana, she moved to Dallas in 2000 for her residency at the prestigious Parkland Memorial Hospital. In 2003, she was honored with the Outstanding Resident Teaching Award from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Dominique promotes minimally invasive surgery such as Essure and Endometrial Ablations. “Many women are unaware of the minimally invasive options available today for a variety of Gynecologic problems. Many issues in women’s health which once required major surgery can now be solved in a short office visit.” Dr. Dominique states, “Whether its infertility, childbirth or routine gynecologic care I am committed to helping women at every stage of their lives.” Dr. Dominique loves to spend time with her family. She keeps busy with her two year old son.

 

Dr. Elia Fanous

Dr. Elia Fanous joined MacArthur OB/Gyn in January of 2008. He is a board certified obstetrician and gynecologist by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Fanous went to Baylor University and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Biology with a Chemistry minor. He then enrolled in graduate school at Baylor and received a Master of Clinical Gerontology degree. He went on to medical school at Texas Tech and graduated in 2001. After finishing medical school, he completed his training in OB/Gyn at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, and then started practicing in Irving in 2005. Dr. Fanous is fluent in Arabic and conversational medical Spanish. He loves spending time with wife, twin girls and son. Dr. Fanous states, “My goal is to form a personal relationship with each of my patients. By spending quality time and educating patients, we can make personalized medical decisions together, ensuring the best medical care.” Dr. Fanous enjoys all aspects of OB/Gyn, including infertility, obstetrics, gynecology, and pelvic surgery and strives to give personalized, compassionate, and the best care possible for women in any and all stages of life.

The MacArthur OBGYN family extends a big welcome to Dr. Wiyatta Freeman. She emigrated from Liberia, West Africa in 1991 with her family to the Houston area. After attending Prairie View A&M University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, she became a high school science teacher in the Houston area just prior to attending medical school. She completed her medical school training at Texas Tech School of Medicine in Lubbock, TX in 2004 and her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Dr. Freeman received the Outstanding Resident Teacher Award in 2008.  Following residency Dr. Freeman began practicing in Irving prior to joining the staff at MacArthur OBGYN. She is a multi talented person with a strong desire to teach. She also speaks medical Spanish emphasizing her desire to connect with people. Dr. Freeman truly believes in a down to earth and compassionate approach to women’s health and always involving the patients in their medical decisions. In her spare time, Dr. Freeman enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking and serving her community.

Kim Sakovich, RNC, WHNP-C joined MacArthur OB/GYN as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in 2006. She brings twenty seven years of experience in the medical field ranging from emergency medicine, operating room technology and nursing. After graduating from Texas Woman’s University, she began working in labor and delivery at Baylor Medical Center of Irving. She was selected as one of the Great 100 Nurses in the DFW area in 2004. She went back to TWU and received her Masters of Science and her Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner certification in 2006. Kim grew up in the Ft. Worth area. She is married and has four children, whose lives keep her very busy and active. In her spare time she enjoys working in the community as the nurse for the Richland High School Band. In practice she enjoys educating her patients. “As a Nurse Practitioner, I am able to dedicate time to educating and working with my patients, making sure they understand and agree with the plan of care.” Kim especially enjoys working with women with Diabetes focusing on diet and weight gain control.
